For over 25 years, Pho 76 has been more than a restaurant; we are a cornerstone of the community, a keeper of tradition, and a celebration of the vibrant, authentic flavours of Vietnam and China. Step into our world and savour a story that has been simmering for decades.

More Than a Meal, It’s a Memory
Welcome to Pho 76, where every dish we serve is a bridge between generations and cultures. From the moment the aromatic steam of our signature pho greets you, to the final, satisfying sip of broth, you are part of our family’s journey. We began in 1997 with a simple, yet profound mission: to share the authentic, comforting, and complex tastes of our heritage with the Sydney community.
For us, food is the language of love, care, and hospitality. It’s in the meticulous, slow-simmered broths, the sizzle of the wok, the crispness of fresh herbs, and the warm welcome you receive from our team. We are the place for a quick, nourishing lunch, a celebratory family dinner, or a comforting meal that feels like home. We’ve been the preferred choice for discerning palates for years because we don’t compromise on quality or authenticity. We invite you to pull up a chair, share a table with loved ones, and create new memories with us.
The Art of Pho: A Broth Simmered with Time and Tradition
The soul of our restaurant is captured in its name: Pho. But what makes a truly great bowl of pho? It’s a craft we have perfected over a quarter of a century. Our journey to the perfect pho is a testament to patience and a deep respect for tradition.
Our broth is the hero of the story. It is slow-simmered for over 12 hours, a meticulous process that allows us to coax every drop of flavour from high-quality beef bones, marrow, and a secret, fragrant blend of whole spices. We use star anise for its sweet, licorice-like aroma; cinnamon for its warm depth; cloves for their pungent sweetness; and charred ginger and onion to build a complex, smoky foundation. This creates a broth that is crystal clear yet incredibly rich, layered, and deeply nourishing—a true symphony of flavour that warms you from the inside out.
Paired with this legendary broth are silky-smooth rice noodles, tender slices of rare beef or succulent chicken, and a vibrant garden of fresh garnishes. Your bowl arrives as a canvas, ready for you to customize with crisp bean sprouts, aromatic Thai basil, a squeeze of fresh lime, and a dash of chili for that perfect kick. This is not just soup; it is an interactive culinary experience, a ritual, and the heart of Vietnamese cuisine.

A Fusion of Cultures: The Best of Vietnamese & Chinese Cuisine
While our pho may be our signature, our story is one of dual heritage. The “& Chinese” in our identity is not an afterthought; it is an integral part of our culinary tapestry. Our menu is a celebration of the harmonious relationship between these two powerful food cultures, offering a diverse palette to please every guest.
Our chefs are masters of the wok, harnessing the elusive “wok hei”—the ‘breath of the wok’—that imparts a smoky, complex flavour to our stir-fries that simply cannot be replicated at home. From classic Special Fried Rice loaded with succulent prawns and savory Chinese sausage to sizzling plates of Mongolian Lamb and honey-kissed King Prawns, each dish is a burst of flavour and texture. We explore the delicate balance of sweet, sour, salty, and savory that defines great Chinese cooking, using time-honoured techniques and the freshest local ingredients. This unique fusion has allowed us to broaden the palates of our community, offering familiar comforts alongside exciting new tastes, all under one roof.
From a Single Shop to a Sydney Staple
Our history is woven into the fabric of the communities we serve. Each Pho 76 location tells a chapter of our story, one of passion, community, and organic growth.
Part I: 1997 – The Green Valley Original, Our Cornerstone
It all began in Green Valley. In 1997, we opened our doors at The Valley Plaza with a vision to create a local institution. In a community rich with culture, we wanted to be the definitive destination for authentic Vietnamese and Chinese food. We became the local favourite not just through our food, but by building relationships. We watched families grow, celebrated milestones, and became a reliable constant in the lives of our patrons. The Green Valley store is our heart. It’s where our legacy was born, where recipes were perfected, and where the name Pho 76 first became synonymous with quality and tradition. It remains the beloved original, a nostalgic and cherished hub for our longest-standing customers.
Part II: 2006 – An Unexpected Opportunity in Wetherill Park
For years, we had no intention of expanding. Our focus was on perfecting our craft in Green Valley. But opportunity often comes from unexpected places. A dedicated patron, who also happened to be a member of the Fairfield Council, saw the potential for our brand to thrive in another vibrant community. They championed our cause, recommending we consider a new space in the bustling Stocklands Wetherill Park. We took a leap of faith, and in 2006, our second location was born. Situated conveniently near the Hoyts Cinemas, it quickly became the go-to spot for a delicious pre-movie dinner or a post-shopping feast, introducing our unique culinary concept to a whole new audience and proving that our flavour had widespread appeal.

Part III: 2013 – A Grand Vision in Campbelltown
By 2013, we were ready to make our boldest statement yet. We opened our third and largest store at Marketfair in Campbelltown (originally Macarthur Square). This location was designed to be an experience. We chose a powerful and symbolic red theme—a colour representing luck, joy, and passion in our culture. The space was meticulously designed to cater to every need, featuring comfortable and private booth seating for families and intimate dinners, as well as a spacious outdoor dining area for enjoying beautiful Sydney days. This flagship restaurant represents the culmination of our journey: a confident, modern, and inviting space that still holds true to the traditional flavours that started it all.
